Lucas has been with Freestone Aquatics since the summer of 2022 as the teams Field Operations Manager and Lead Equipment Operator. He received his Associates degree in Science and Technology from Alfred State College and began his career in upstate New York. While focusing on stream rehabilitation, Lucas has 7+ years of experience constructing fish habitat, rock structures, and other stream restoration projects. He has effectively collaborated with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, DEC, local soil and water districts, and wildlife management agencies to ensure projects were completed safely, within budget, and on time. While working with Freestone, Lucas is responsible for managing equipment logistics and the quantities of materials necessary to ensure project completion. On the jobsite, He is normally in an excavator helping build Freestone’s project designs. Lucas takes immense pride in his field work and enjoys looking back at completed projects to see the finished product. When Lucas is not working, he enjoys boating, fishing, hunting, and exploring the outdoors.
